Corporate Visit: One day Corporate Visit to the Jewish Commuinity Center

12 January 2023

On Nov. 22, 2022, NTU OIA organized its 1st corporate visit of its 2023 International Mentorship Program to the Jeffrey D. Schwartz Jewish Community Center. Named after its founder and mentor at our International Mentorship Program, the institution is the first hub created for Jewish communities in Taiwan to celebrate their traditions, religion, and heritage events. The center also serves as a museum where visitors can have a closer experience in understanding Judaism and Jewish culture.

On this occasion, a group of students from seven different countries with our NTU OIA team on this corporate visit. The Jewish Taiwan Cultural Association (JTCA) tour allowed us to deepen our understanding of traditional Jewish festivals such as Hanukkah and Passover. Furthermore, we looked at the first of a kind in Taiwan Mikveh (a Jewish ritual bath), and enjoyed the only authentic Kosher food in Taiwan. Due to the center’s exceptional contributions to the Jewish community both in Taiwan and globally, the JTCA recently received【The 2022 Austrian Holocaust Memorial Award】for its outstanding leadership and impact.

We are glad to have the Jeffrey D. Schwartz & NaTang Jewish Taiwan Cultural Association as one of our host organizations at the IMP and Jeffrey D. Schwartz as our mentor. We rest assured that his over four-decade experience as CEO of FourStar Group will provide our students with knowledgeable insights both professionally and personally. If you are an NTU student curious about experiencing the Jewish culture first-hand, we encourage you to apply to the two communications assistant vacancies available at the JTCA.
