Sustainability is central to NTU’s mission — shaping how we teach, how we research, and how we live as a community. From bold commitments to achieve net-zero emissions by 2048, to advancing green procurement and circular economy practices, NTU is charting a course toward a future where progress and responsibility go hand in hand, with all efforts aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This leadership has been recognised both nationally and internationally: in 2024, NTU received the Executive Yuan’s National Sustainable Development Award for Higher Education, and in the 2025 QS Sustainability Rankings we rose to 74th globally (4th in Asia, 1st in Taiwan).
The International Mentorship Program is proud to contribute to this green journey. We know our students feel a strong responsibility to address environmental challenges, and many aspire to build their careers in this vital field. To support these ambitions, the Green Talent tag was created as a marker for internships where students can develop the skills, knowledge, and values to make a real difference for the environment.
Green Talent refers to organisations that provide internships in which students can develop the skills, knowledge, and values required to contribute meaningfully to environmental sustainability. Such organisations either operate directly within sustainability-focused sectors or integrate sustainable practices significantly into their work, services, or operations. Through these internships, students are enabled to experience sustainability principles in practice and contribute meaningfully to environmental protection and the global shift toward sustainability.
Green Talent opportunities help students engage with professional sustainability practices — whether by reducing environmental impact, advancing sustainable operations, or driving innovative services. By choosing a Green Talent internship, students not only gain transformative experience for their own careers but also reinforce NTU’s award-winning impact as a leader in sustainability.
