【How to Discover Your Career Path】
The first workshop of the NTU International Mentorship Program was held on November 27th. The workshop featured three senior executives from different generations and diverse industries who shared their learning experiences and career paths with over 150 students from 32 countries. Through the speakers' insightful sharing, students not only gained invaluable guidance on career planning but also grasped the mindset and expectations required when entering their first workplace.
Mr. Pascal Le Ray, the General Manager at Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, shared his career journey across borders and fields. With his extensive experience, he emphasized the importance of staying open-minded and encouraged students to seize every opportunity to explore and venture. Mr. Rikash Lin, the Co-founder and CEO of Calls Over Ridges, elucidated his atypical career trajectory: he deviated from his initial plans, but by anchoring his career with the ideal lifestyle he envisioned, he founded an NGO, assumed leadership, and eventually unearthed his passion and impact. Mr. Daniel Shih, the Chief Strategy Officer at Turn Cloud, recounted facing the dilemma shared by many students: whether to pursue further education, create their own business, or seek employment at prestigious companies. Yet, through clarifying his life aspirations, he discovered a decision-making mechanism that ultimately drove him to depart from multinational corporations and lead a local startup onto the international stage.
