NTU OIA led a cohort of 30 promising young talents from Saxony, Germany, participating in the Semiconductor Talent Incubation Program Taiwan (STIPT) on an insightful visit to the Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute (TSRI).
Director Tuo-hong Hou from TSRI warmly welcomed the students, offering them a comprehensive tour of the institute's cutting-edge facilities, including the clean room, photolithography room, analytical electron microscope, and nano metrology laboratory. These immersive experiences provided the students with invaluable insights into the world-class integrated semiconductor research environment.
The visit to TSRI not only showcased the institute's advanced technologies but also highlighted Taiwan's commitment to semiconductor research and development. Through interactions with TSRI experts and hands-on experiences, the students gained a deeper understanding of the intricate processes involved in semiconductor production.
This marked the first occasion for the students participating in the STIPT to explore companies beyond Taipei. Through this excursion, they broadened their understanding of Taiwan's semiconductor industry.
