Solid Sie is Secretary-General of the Taiwan Venture Capital Association (TVCA) and the Taiwan Private Equity Association (TPEA). He is dedicated to strengthening Taiwan’s venture and private equity ecosystem by connecting investors, startups, corporates, and public-sector partners, and by translating industry insights into practical collaboration and policy dialogue.
Since 2022, Solid has hosted TVCA’s flagship podcast, “Chuang Chuang Shao”, where each episode features candid conversations with venture capitalists and startup founders on real-world investment perspectives, partnership lessons, and market trends. The programme has grown into a widely followed platform that highlights Taiwan’s innovation capacity and bridges the gap between capital and entrepreneurship.
In addition to his association leadership, Solid is an angel investor focused on early-stage companies with strong growth potential and serves as a mentor for the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) accelerator, supporting founders as they refine strategy, fundraising narratives, and go-to-market execution. He has also contributed to the broader startup ecosystem as a judge and speaker for various government and innovation programmes.
In 2024—marking 40 years since venture capital was introduced to Taiwan—Solid played a key role in coordinating the Taiwan VC Annual Conference and advancing initiatives such as the “Top 100 Startups” project, which curates high-potential startups from the perspectives of leading investors.

Brief Introduction of the Department
【Event Management Department】
The Event Management Department is the hub that turns the association’s strategy into high-impact programmes and international engagement. We plan and deliver flagship events, coordinate cross-border exchanges, and work closely with key stakeholders across the venture capital ecosystem—including VCs, startups, corporates, government partners, and global platforms.
This year, our focus is strongly international. We are expanding the association’s global presence through major English-facing initiatives and international programming, including Asia VC Summit—a full-day international track co-organised with Plug and Play as part of the Taiwan VC Summit. Our team supports end-to-end execution, from agenda design and speaker liaison to on-site operations and partner coordination, ensuring a world-class experience for international guests and delegates.
Beyond events, we are building a stronger global brand and communication channel for the association. This includes English website development (key pages and membership information), and more active engagement on international platforms such as LinkedIn, where we share ecosystem insights, event highlights, and partnership updates.
Interns in our department do not “just assist”—they work alongside the core team to gain real experience in international project management, stakeholder communications, and bilingual content production, while learning how ecosystem organisations operate at the intersection of policy, capital, and innovation.

Internship Job Description
As an International Events & Partnerships Intern, you will support the planning and execution of the association’s key international programmes and global-facing communications. This role is ideal for students who are curious about venture capital, startups, and international collaboration, and who want hands-on experience working on real projects with regional and global partners.
You will assist the team in preparing for Asia VC Summit (the international track of Taiwan VC Summit), co-organised with Plug and Play. Responsibilities may include: researching speakers and organisations, drafting bilingual event materials, coordinating schedules and confirmations, preparing run-of-show documents, supporting guest reception and on-site operations, and documenting event outcomes for internal and external use.
You will also contribute to the association’s internationalisation efforts beyond events—such as supporting English website content updates and developing LinkedIn-ready content (post drafts, captions, key takeaways, and visual/asset checklists). This is a great opportunity to practice professional English communication, learn stakeholder management, and understand how international ecosystem programmes are designed and delivered.
You will work closely with the project team, gain exposure to real-world collaboration across multiple stakeholders, and build a strong portfolio of international project experience.
