Ms. Tsai has earned distinction during her 30-year career as a specialist in trade and investment development for both public and private organizations. Ms. Tsai has guided multinational clients through trade negotiations, provided business-to-business matchmaking services, market research, strategic planning, market entry, foreign direct investment, and utilized her extensive business and government network to conduct due diligence for foreign and domestic companies through the Greater China region.

As an overseas office of the State of Washington, the Washington-Taiwan Office promotes and facilitates investment, trade, tourism, and educational exchanges between Taiwan and Washington.
Our primary missions include:
- Attracting and advising Taiwanese companies interested in investing in Washington
- Assisting Washington exporters in identifying opportunities, assessing potential, and achieving trade goals
- Promoting Washington's tourism and education environment
- Serving as a contact and bridge between the Taiwanese and Washington governments

Internship Job Description

As the State of Washington's office in Taiwan, we are dedicated to attract Taiwanese investors to Washington State. Additionally, we aim to expanding Washington’s exports to Taiwan by assisting Washington companies with export readiness evaluations, market research and identifying qualified buyers.
This internship offers practical experience in international trade, insights into Taiwanese business, and opportunities to grow both social and professional networks.
Interns will support investment leads and trade inquiries, conduct market research, assist with promotional activities, coordinate inbound and outbound delegations as well as update website content.

Preferred Intern Education Level

- undergraduate students (third year and above)
- Master students

Preferred Intern Skill Sets or Qualities

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English
- Strong research skills and ability to work independently
- Basic international trade, marketing and management sense
- Decent reception etiquette

Others

- Upon the completion of the NTU International Mentorship Program, students may continue as interns for an additional 3 months, at the discretion of the organisation
