Oscar has been working at the Department for Youth of the Taipei City Government since 2024. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s degree in Health and Welfare Policy. With a background in youth and child services as well as community development, he previously served as a social worker in both Taipei and Taichung city government.
Passionate about international affairs, Oscar has volunteered in Cambodia, joined an exchange program at the University of Jyväskylä in Finland, and contributed to social inclusion initiatives for immigrants in Europe. At the Department for Youth, he now leads programs that connect Taipei’s youth with the world and foster cross-cultural exchange with international young people.

Department for Youth of Taipei City Government was established on June 1, 2024, to support youth in diverse participation, career development, and international engagement, accompanying them in realizing their potential.
Key focuses of the Department for Youth include:
(1)Promoting Diverse Youth Participation: Encouraging young people to take part in various activities, engage with public issues, volunteer in communities, and supporting student and youth organizations through subsidy programs.
(2)Supporting Youth Career Development: Assisting youth explore their interests and define their career goals through workplace internships and career empowerment programs, while providing entrepreneurial loans and support across different stages of business development.

Internship Job Description
Interns will work at the Global Engagement Division, focusing on research projects that align with their backgrounds and interests, such as urban planning, public policy, and international exchange. They will be responsible for studying municipal projects, analyzing relevant data from various sources, and providing recommendations based on their findings. Interns will also have the opportunity to visit key sites related to major policy initiatives and share their insights with Taipei’s youth at exchange events.
