PERSONAL BIO

Benjamin Chen is a distinguished investment professional with extensive expertise in capital markets and private equity. He began his career at Lehman Brothers as a Senior Vice President from 2000 to 2008, where he led over 30 successful overseas fundraising transactions, including NASDAQ IPOs and GDR/ECB offerings. His strategic insights were instrumental in advising high-profile M&A transactions within the technology sector.
Following his tenure at Lehman, Benjamin joined Nomura International as an Executive Director from 2008 to 2010, where he further refined his expertise in capital markets. He led initiatives to enhance the firm’s overseas presence, driving significant fundraising efforts and managing high-stakes transactions.
In 2011, he co-founded Magi Capital Fund L.P., where he shaped the fund's investment strategy, focusing on high-potential opportunities in technology until 2014.
With a BA in Business Administration from National Taiwan University and an MBA from Columbia University, Benjamin combines a strong academic foundation with practical insights. His commitment to continuous learning positions him as a leader in the investment arena, consistently driving impactful results.

In the pre-investment phase, we focus on identifying high-potential opportunities and conducting thorough due diligence. Our team designs strategic transaction structures and facilitates successful deal completion, leveraging deep industry expertise to drive significant transformations.

Internship Job Description

In this role, you will gather, organize, and analyze data to assist the company in making strategic business decisions, planning, and implementing new initiatives. You will gain experience in developing business proposals and strategies while helping to identify solutions for operational challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on dental industry trends, including market dynamics, competitive analysis, and customer behavior.
- Compile, organize, and analyze industry data to identify trends, patterns, and insights for informed decision-making.
- Assist in creating reports and presentations summarizing research findings for internal stakeholders.
- Support the enhancement of social media and digital strategies by researching industry best practices.
- Learn basic technical concepts related to dental technology and services to better understand the industry context.
- Execute tasks and special projects as assigned by your supervisor.

Preferred Intern Education Level

- Master students
- Ph.D. students

Preferred Intern Skill Sets or Qualities

- Preferably students in their final year of study in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Vietnamese is required; Fluent in English (both speaking and writing) and Chinese is an advantage.
- High degree of organizational skill and problem-solving ability. Specifically, the ability to work as a self-starter especially as it relates to collecting on resources outside the company
- Desire to learn and grow professionally
- A willingness and flexibility to do “whatever it takes” for “whoever needs it” foster the growth and success of the business.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to present and deliver presentations.
- Strong planning and time management skills.
