Jay received his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Business Administration and Management from National Taiwan University in 1996 and 1998 respectively.

Jay is currently leading Garmin Asia Auto OEM Group, in charge of engineering R&D, product planning, program management, sales marketing, quality assurance and services. With over 27 years cross industries experience of Automotive, Telecommunications, and ICT industry, he is professional at P&L operation, corporate strategic planning, product design management, and business development.

Internship Job Description

- Reseach and collect market trend to identify product opportunities
- Co-work with Team Leader to evolve product roadmap, define feature, drive proof-of concept (POC), and product demo
- Participate internal / external meeting and consolidate meeting minutes in English / Japanese
- Specific assignment / project upon request

Preferred Intern Education Level

- Undergraduate students (third year and above)
- Master students

Preferred Intern Skill Sets or Qualities

- Major in Engineering, Technology Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong interest in product strategy, emerging technologies, and user-focused design.
- Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
- Proactive, collaborative, and eager to learn.
- Fluent in English and Japanese (N2 or above), with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.

Automotive electronics is currently the main trend of global development. Garmin's Auto OEM business group has been deeply involved in the field for many years.
It has a diverse product line and a complete team lineup, and its main goal is to provide high-quality products and excellent services to international car manufacturer customers.

This department is Auto OEM PLM (Project lifecycle management). Our work scope covers the entire product lifecycle from the RFQ to project mass production, after-sales service, until the entire product lifecycle is successfully concluded.

We also oversee the work of the entire project team to ensure they successfully and effectively complete each phase of the lifecycle and meet customer needs and expectations. Welcome to join us!
