Dr. Chia has been serving as the Vice President of Chunghwa Telecom Network Technology Group since July, 2021. He leads the planning, engineering and operation department of the mobile business. Dr. Chia is telecom veteran and has been working for more than 33 years in Chunghwa. He started his career as researcher in wireless technology laboratories, and then took the leading position in wireless research projects, with a focus on 3G/4G/5G CORE and RAN technology and standardization.
Prior to his current role, he held a variety of roles and scopes in mobile business division, including the deputy M.D. of engineering, M.D. of engineering and M.D. of operation department, and the deputy vice president.
