PERSONAL BIO

Born in the Netherlands, Bart graduated from the University of Eindhoven with a master's degree in Electrical Engineering. While working for Hitec Power Protection bv, a manufacturer of Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS), Bart was assigned to Taiwan in 2000 to support the business and set up a local branch. There was high demand for UPS systems from the semiconductor industry in Taiwan. UPS systems were critical for this industry and a local service team was necessary to meet the need for a fast and qualified response at all times.

In 2008 Bart stepped over to the industry that had long been of major interest and started to work for ENERCON in Taiwan as their Service Manager. ENERCON in Taiwan grew to be an important supplier of onshore windturbines, taking 70% of the onshore wind market with 233 turbines installed. In 2025, Bart joined the European Chamber of Commerce as a Energy Transition & Sustainability Team Director (Low Carbon initiative).
