Brief Introduction of the Department

【Marine Operations Department】

The Marine Operations Department is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all vessels in the company’s fleet. Its key functions include monitoring daily ship performance, ensuring compliance with international and local maritime regulations and company policies, and supporting ship crews in both operational and safety matters. The department also works closely with technical, crewing, and project teams, as well as QHSES (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, and Security), to maintain effective communication between ship and shore. In addition, Marine Operations contributes to incident management, audits, and the continuous improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS) to uphold the highest standards of safety, environmental protection, and operational excellence.

Internship Job Description

During the internship, participants will gain exposure to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the key international regulations that guide safe and efficient ship operations. Interns will learn how these rules influence ship design and equipment, particularly the safety and environmental requirements that vessels must comply with. They will also have the opportunity to understand how international and local maritime regulations are applied in real situations and how this knowledge can support problem-solving for issues that occur on board.

In addition, interns will learn about the role of classification societies, how they verify compliance with international standards, and why their work is essential for ensuring the safety and reliability of ships.
