Dr. Langerbeck previously held the positions of Acting Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director and Head of Corporate Services at the Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MGCC), where she made significant contributions to trade exchanges between Germany and Malaysia since 2016. Before joining MGCC, Dr. Langerbeck, who holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Islamic Studies, served as a Research Assistant and University Lecturer at the Institute of Islamic Studies, Freie Universität Berlin.
Beyond her professional achievements, she is passionate about classical ballet, piano playing, and hiking. Moreover, she has visited Taiwan multiple times and has been attracted by Taiwan's rich natural landscapes and culture. She is particularly impressed by the politeness and friendliness of the Taiwanese people.
"Taiwan is a kind of hidden champion," Dr. Langerbeck stated, "especially as Taiwan's semiconductors play a crucial role in the international supply chain, which is also urgently needed by German companies." Her joining will continue to deepen the economic and trade relations between Germany and Taiwan. She will also connect with the global network of German Chambers of Commerce, raise Taiwan's importance as a business and investment location among German companies, and continue to serve German enterprises in Taiwan.
