Vercruysse Laurens began his career in the dredging industry, specializing in breakwater construction and revetment rock works throughout the Middle East. His early hands-on involvement in complex marine construction projects laid a strong technical foundation and deepened his understanding of coastal engineering challenges. As his career progressed, he transitioned into hydrographic surveying, applying his expertise to large-scale infrastructure developments. His contributions include key roles in the Tuas Port expansion in Singapore and the Soai Rap River deepening project in Vietnam, where he supported accurate seabed mapping and ensured survey operations met strict engineering requirements.

In recent years, his professional focus has shifted toward the offshore sector, first in Europe and then in Asia. For the past three years, Laurens has served as Survey Manager at CDWE, overseeing offshore survey activities with a strong emphasis on data integrity, operational efficiency, and safety. His comprehensive field experience and leadership continue to support the successful delivery of complex offshore projects.
