On Thursday, November 9th, Meet Global, in collaboration with the American Institute in Taiwan and NTU OIA, organized the “Meet Global Tea Time—How does Taiwan attract foreign entrepreneurs?” This event, delving into the challenges and opportunities faced by expat businesses in Taiwan, drew a diverse group of entrepreneurs, professionals, and government representatives keen on engaging in insightful discussions and sharing valuable experiences.

The Tea Time featured Tom Fifield, Generalist at the Taiwan Employment Gold Card Office, who discussed the trends and advantages of foreign talents working in Taiwan and how the Gold Card program effectively supports overseas professionals in advancing careers in this land. Alan Mclvor, Practice Leader at Paul Wright Group, and Clayton Jacobs, CEO and Co-Founder of Creator DB , also shared insights into the unique Taiwanese work culture and their experiences launching businesses in Taiwan as foreign entrepreneurs. The panel was moderated by Jon Yu, Founder of the well-known YouTube channel, Asianometry.
