Taiwan is facing a labor shortage as a result of the declining young population growth, and the Taiwanese government has launched various initiatives to attract international talents to come to Taiwan to work to aid this problem. As a Taiwan-based international career platform, Cake is on a mission to bridge talent distribution across regions, bridging countries facing labor shortages and countries with numerous high-quality talents.

However, working in Taiwan as a foreigner comes with various challenges. From navigating the competitive job market to adjusting to the local working culture and overcoming language barriers. In between this, Cake aims to provide a space where professionals from international backgrounds can gain insights and build a professional network through a community of international talents in Taiwan.

This event will be conducted in the combinated format of a panel discussion and keynote, focused
on the topic of Working in Taiwan as an International Talent. The event is expected to bring new insights to the audience on how to navigate the competitive job market in Taiwan as a foreigner, tips to create a winning resume, and also work visa applications for foreigners looking to work in Taiwan.

During the panel discussion, panelists are expected to share their experiences and professional knowledge according to the provided script/talking points, discussing the needs and challenges that international talents commonly face in Taiwan’s workforce.
