Orange Corporation Co-CEOs Jocelyn and Kevin YUAN have broken the second-generation succession curse. After opening their standalone store in Taichung, their next step is to expand overseas.

Orange Corporation is not only dedicated to its customers but also deeply committed to the career development of its employees. "Sustainability is also a core value of the Orange brand—only when human resources can grow sustainably can the brand thrive in the long run," said CEO Jocelyn.

"When we launched 'Extention 1 by Orange,' a single-person hot pot concept often referred to as 'Little Orange,' in 2017, our goal was to provide senior employees with a platform to enhance their skills—not just in service, but in business management as well—so they could eventually handle an entire store. Today, all Orange Corporation store managers are promoted from within. If any employee feels ready to start their own business, we fully support their decision."

In 2018, despite facing immense pressure and opposition, Kevin Yuan made the bold decision to open Orange’s first department store location at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi A9 in Taipei—again with employee career development in mind. "Between 2016 and 2017, Orange went through a difficult transition period. Many employees left, and new hires, seeing that all leadership positions were occupied by long-time staff, felt there were limited opportunities for advancement," Kevin explained.

"When Shin Kong Mitsukoshi extended an invitation, I convinced my father to let us open 'Orange Shin Kong Mitsukoshi A9.' This not only created new job opportunities but also allowed us to see even greater potential for the Orange brand."
