The Office of International Affairs (OIA) had the honour of hosting a dynamic student and staff delegation from Ezofrogs, an innovation education collective from Hokkaido, Japan. The event — held at NTU’s Hub & Store Café — was co-organised by the OIA, Ezofrogs and Startup Island TAIWAN, one of our long-standing partners advancing startup-education and deepening Taiwan-Japan ties.
Students hailing from leading Japanese and Taiwanese institutions — including Otaru University of Commerce, Hokkaido University of Education, Hokkai-Gakuen University, National Institute of Technology (KOSEN), Kushiro College, Sapporo Kaisei Secondary School, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) and NTU — presented their start up projects, each reflecting cross-cultural creativity, entrepreneurial mindsets and technical innovation.
Through presentations and collaborative discussions, the event sought to nurture the next generation of innovators. Ezofrogs’ mission aligns closely with NTU’s own: to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs to bridge local challenges and global opportunities.
By layering entrepreneurship training with immersive cross-border dialogue, this event deepened the Taiwan–Japan connection and reinforced our shared commitment to developing young talent.
The OIA looks forward to continuing this trajectory of cooperation, expanding pathways for students to engage in global innovation ecosystems, and reinforcing the longstanding partnership between Japan and NTU.
