【Workshop】2026 NTU IMP Workshop I - Strategic Self-Promotion: Packaging Your Story for Career Success

08 December 2025

Last week, the NTU International Mentorship Program launched its 5th workshop with a dynamic session led by senior executives from the logistics, electronics, and startup sectors. This first event brought together leaders who shared their career journeys and industry insights with over 150 students from over 30 countries and 60 different academic departments. Students gained practical guidance on career paths, workplace mindset, and essential skills—from navigating uncertainty to building self-awareness and sustaining professional growth. This workshop is part of our commitment to supporting students’ transition into global professional environments, helping them clarify their goals and prepare for the challenges ahead.

Jeff Neo, Managing Director of Kuehne+Nagel, highlighted that attitude ultimately shapes people’s futures, encouraging students to think critically, work empathetically, and face challenges with courage. Dr. TF Hsieh, General Manager of Sysgration系統電子, emphasized the importance of creating value through having broad skills and a resilient nature with integrity, initiative, and intelligence. Lastly, students were advised by Allen John Ku, Senior Vice President at Startup Island TAIWAN, to balance priorities, build meaningful networks, and use university experiences to discover personal direction.

Through these perspectives, students gained clearer insight into career planning and the mindset needed to thrive in today’s workplace. We extend our sincere thanks to today’s speakers for their insightful and impactful contributions. We look forward to continuing the IMP workshop series, supporting participants in strengthening their global career readiness.
