Original Title: As Global Demand for Talent Grows, Taiwan’s NTU Positions Global Mobility at Core of Recruitment Fair Impact Zone
At a time when global labor markets are facing structural change, NTU demonstrated a new strategic vision at the 2026 "VISION Campus Recruitment Fair." In the face of rapid AI development, aging demographics, and deepening ESG policies, NTU is evolving into an "ecosystem bridge" connecting talent, industry, and the global market.
A prominent highlight of this year's fair was the International Talent & Impact Zone. Johnny Wu, NTU OIA's Head and Director of Global Relations, pointed out that the biggest challenge for international students is often the lack of local connections and understanding of complex regulations. To address this, the university actively encouraged companies to release "English-friendly positions," assisting Taiwanese enterprises in building a more inclusive international work environment while helping students achieve the critical "0 to 1" transition from academia to the professional world.
Furthermore, the 2026 fair extended the concept of "sustainability" to talent development. Amidst talent shortages, ensuring "Talent Sustainability" has become a corporate priority. The fair emphasized that future elites must possess not only technical expertise but also the mobility to operate across borders and disciplines while understanding global sustainability indicators such as the UN SDGs.
Ultimately, NTU’s goal is to establish a multi-stage engagement model, transforming recruitment into long-term partnerships through sustained effort and collaboration. As Johnny Wu noted, a single event cannot build an ecosystem. In the global competition for talent, this fair sends a clear signal: Taiwan is ready to serve as a key hub for international professionals, ensuring a resilient talent pipeline for years to come.
