▌Turn Interview Traps into Wins: 2026 NTU x Cake Career Workshop II Concluded!

An interview is more than just Q&A; it is a dialogue about potential and value. As the #InternationalMentorshipProgram (IMP) matching phase approaches, NTU OIA teamed up with Cake for our second workshop: "How to Turn Interview Traps into WINs," helping students stand out in the selection process.

We were honored to feature two NTU alumni from Cake. Angie, a frontline recruitment expert, broke down the logic behind interviewer questions, guiding students through hands-on practice to master real-time response techniques. Meanwhile, Coco, with her extensive overseas business development experience, transformed complex strategies into simple, actionable advice. By engaging directly with each group, she effectively eased students' anxieties and empowered them to showcase their unique strengths with confidence.

The session's core takeaway was learning to decode the "unspoken needs" of interviewers—emphasizing that grasping the intent behind a question is far more critical than delivering a rehearsed "standard" answer. Students participated in live mock interviews and group exercises, learning how to align their past experiences with job requirements authentically and persuasively. These real-time interactions allowed participants to turn every response into a strategic opportunity to demonstrate their competitive edge.
