
國立臺灣大學 has achieved a historic milestone, ranking 10th globally in the Times Higher Education (主題標籤#THE) Impact Rankings 2026.
Rising from 14th place last year, this marks NTU's highest-ever ranking and Taiwan's best performance in the history of the assessment.
Announced at the THE Global Sustainable Development Congress 2026 in Jakarta, the recognition highlights NTU's commitment to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (主題標籤#SDGs). NTU President Wen-Chang Chen received a Certification of Recognition for the university's outstanding global impact and delivered a keynote address titled "Acting Together: The True Measure of University Excellence" before an audience of over 5,000 higher education leaders and experts from around the world.
Among the 17 SDGs evaluated, NTU achieved Top 10 global rankings in four categories:

This achievement reflects the collective efforts of NTU's faculty, staff, students, and partners.
