Turn Cloud

Lew Jian Rong, a Malaysian sophomore majoring in Business Administration, interned at Turn Cloud through the NTU International Mentorship Program 2024 to explore his career path. Guided by Chief Strategy Officer Daniel Shih in an innovative and open environment, Jian Rong delved into new knowledge, overcame various challenges, and contributed to the company's global expansion by aiding Turn Cloud in establishing a presence in the Malaysian market.

At Turn Cloud, Jian Rong experienced daily learning and growth. His responsibilities spanned from researching digital transformation strategies, generating industry reports for his team’s reference, to crafting promotional articles for the official website. Meanwhile, he undertook the pivotal task of conceptualizing the strategy for market expansion. Initially, proposing creative and feasible strategies appeared daunting for Jian Rong, given his lack of practical experience. However, drawing on references to the company's past cases and Daniel's shared experiences, Jian Rong gradually discerned how to expand business connections, target audiences, and establish a business model. Ultimately, leveraging his background knowledge, Jian Rong assisted Turn Cloud in redefining target partners and successfully securing the first contract in Malaysia.

Interning at Turn Cloud allowed Jian Rong to enter the actual workplace battlefield, where he observed how the CEO and CSO addressed operational challenges. He underwent unexpected transformations, evolving from a second-year student who doubted himself during interviews to a talent enthusiastic about challenging himself. Following Daniel's lead, he continuously scrutinized existing processes, identified overlooked pain points, and strove to create more efficient models. The internship at Turn Cloud not only bolstered Jian Rong's resume but also instilled in him a spirit of pursuing growth and excellence.
