Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation

In summer 2022, Selva Brindha Sermaraj, a PhD student from India, participated in the NTU International Mentorship Program. She experienced a valuable internship at the Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation (TAEF), which has been selected as one of the Best New Think Tanks for the past consecutive years. Under the mentorship of Executive Director Dr. Alan Hao Yang, Selva focused on New South Bound Policy research, specifically on the bilateral relationship between India and Taiwan.

During the internship, Selva shouldered the responsibility to create newsletters regarding the New Southbound Policy News and Asian Regional Headlines. Selva also served as the team counselor at 2022 SEASAT Youth Camp, which is organized by TAEF and AIT, leading the discussion of migrants, equality, and climate change. Due to her good performance in completing all tasks given, Selva is offered to continue current and further projects and to facilitate the 2022 Yushan Forum, one of the most important Asian platforms for social connectivity and progress.
