RT-mart

Pei Lin Chng , is an international student from Malaysia who is pursuing her master's degree in the Department of Law. Pei Lin obtained an internship opportunity within RT-Mart's headquarters via the NTU international Mentorship Program 2022. Mentored by the Human Resources Director - Stacy Kuo, who used to be a lawyer, Pei Lin was tasked and supervised on both Human Resource and CRS projects.

Throughout the course of her internship, as mentioned about, Pei Lin underwent recruitment tasks where she was able to accumulate knowledge as to the recruitment process which consists of tasks such as: job vacancy publication, candidate screening, interviewing and recruiting. This exposure has truly allowed our students to broaden her spectrum as it relates to the acquisition human resources.

Pei Lin also participated in CSR projects. One specifically, was turning recycled plastic bottles into "rPET shopping bags". She contacted different manufacturers of shopping bags where she gathered knowledge relating to the product and manufacturing processes. There she also participated in tasks such as package design and price negotiation. During this internship, she definitely gained a lot of practical skills.
