Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, Taipei Branch
Foo dogs, marble floor tiles, wine cellar, and bank… These elements seem irrelevant to one another but created Yohan’s most memorable summer. Yohan Lee, a Korean student now majoring in Finance at NTU, participated in NTU International Mentorship Program 2022, having the chance to intern at Crédit Agricole CIB, a bank that specializes in the businesses of capital markets and investment and corporate banking. Under the mentorship of Benjamin Lamberg, Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole CIB Taipei Branch, Yohan took a glimpse of the real world’s financial businesses, including bond issuance and securities underwriting, etc.
To quickly acquaint Yohan with every aspect of the financial business of Crédit Agricole CIB, his mentor Benjamin arranged a rotational internship for him, eventually making him realize that securities underwriting interested him the most. In addition, Yohan also mentioned that under Ben’s guidance he learned not only about financial knowledge, but also how to present your organization to others in a professional and confident way, boosting your brand’s image as a trustworthy organization. Moreover, Benjamin's French leadership and personal charisma, which differ considerably from those Yohan had experienced back in Korea, create a friendly and positive work environment, where he came to realize that working in a bank isn’t necessarily dull. "Students who are eligible to apply should never miss this chance. What you'll learn will be definitely beyond your expectation!", he added ecstatically. Without a doubt, Yohan learned how to put his takeaway from school into practice, as well as had a clearer picture of his future career path after this interesting and meaningful summer.
