Moh and Associates
In the summer of 2025, Jason Osborn Tatimu, a first-year master's student from Indonesia studying in the Department of Civil Engineering at NTU, interning at Moh and Associates through NTU’s International Mentorship Program. this opportunity allows him to bridge academic learning with professional practice, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in civil engineering at one of Asia’s leading engineering consulting firms.
Founded in 1975 in both Singapore and Taiwan, Moh and Associates has grown into a global firm with more than 20 overseas offices. Its expertise spans transportation infrastructure, water resources engineering, architectural design, and structural engineering. In addition to shaping many of Taiwan’s landmark projects, the company has also played a pivotal role in international developments such as Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Thailand’s high-speed rail and metro systems, and the metro system in Manila.
During his internship, Jason, guided by Deputy Chief Engineer Ting-En WU, was introduced to the digital workflow of modern civil engineering projects. He learned to use Autodesk Revit to transform 2D drawings into intelligent 3D Building Information Models (BIM), advanced to Autodesk Navisworks to create 4D construction simulations,. and explored Dynamo, a visual programming tool that streamlines and automates design processes.
Reflecting on his experience, Jason shared: "This internship is more than just an internship, it is a chance to discover yourself. Not only enriched my skills but also strengthened myself-management, broadened my perspective, and reaffirmed my passion for my major. It also reaffirmed my goal of applying my knowledge to the development of civil engineering and earthquake disaster prevention in Indonesia in the future."
