From the classroom to the workplace, a strong résumé is the first step to enter the professional world. NTU’s Office of International Affairs, in collaboration with the Center for Bilingual Education ( #CBE) and Cake, organised a career workshop series designed especially for international students. The sessions helped students translate their academic journeys and global experiences into key advantages for job hunting in Taiwan.

The two-day workshop focused on Taiwan’s résumé culture and employer perspectives, exploring a variety of themes including “Turning International Experience into Career Advantages” and “Building a High-Impact Résumé,” and students were guided step by step with career positioning, skills mapping and hands-on résumé writing. The program helped participants turn multicultural and international experiences into compelling job application materials. Evelyn, who participated in the very first year of the NTU International Mentorship Program, shared her years of career experience in Taiwan and her deep insights into the job-seeking journey of international students.

This course focused on the résumé culture and corporate recruitment perspectives within the Taiwanese job market, guiding students to craft well-structured, concise résumés that effectively showcase their unique personal branding.
The two days of the workshop series were titled "Translating International Experience into Career Competitive Advantages" and "Crafting a High-Impact Résumé". From career positioning and skills assessment to hands-on résumé writing, the course systematically assisted students in organizing their backgrounds and transforming multicultural and transnational experiences into persuasive job-seeking assets.

During the sessions, Cake provided its AI Résumé Review feature to help students refine their content in real-time. Additionally, participants were granted a three-month Cake Premium subscription, offering them access to advanced résumé optimization and career exploration resources to further enhance their professional competitiveness.
