張木榮 Byron CHANG

With over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor field, Byron Chang has an extensive background in IDM companies, foundries, and design houses, providing him with deep insights and expertise in technical operations, process technology, and supply chain management. For the past 11 years, Byron has led the global wafer test subcontractor technical operations team, successfully driving operational excellence and achieving automotive quality standards. In addition, he spent 8 years leading international foundry operations, managing complex process and yield improvements, product engineering, and NPI ramp-up. His technical expertise spans foundry process technology for nodes up to 40nm and includes significant experience in yield enhancement. Byron has proven experience in defining wafer test operation KPIs and ensuring that subcontractors meet automotive quality excellence. His leadership has also been instrumental in managing new product introduction (NPI) ramp-ups and production capacity negotiations with Tier 1 foundries and subcontractors. He was a key member of the IFX Test Technology & Innovation Business Process Community (2018–2022) and served as the Hsinchu office site manager from 2021 to 2023, where he oversaw cross-functional teams and operations. Currently, he leads Infineon’s wafer test subcontractor technical team across Taiwan, Singapore, and Japan, overseeing technical excellence and supplier collaboration across the region. In addition to his operational expertise, Byron is committed to developing others. He is an internal trainer at Infineon, specializing in “7 Habits of Highly Effective People,” helping team members improve their effectiveness and teamwork.
