【The Temporary Structures Department】
The Temporary Structures Department is responsible for managing and executing all temporary structure activities across CDWE. Its key functions include:
- Developing and implementing Design and Build strategies in coordination with project teams
- Selecting appropriate designers for each structure and tool scope
- Managing subcontracted designers, including contractual, commercial, scheduling, QA/QC, and cross-departmental interfaces
- Selecting suitable fabricators for each scope
- Managing subcontracted fabrication work, covering contractual, commercial, scheduling, QA/QC, fabrication logistics, and coordination with other departments
- Allocating CDWE resources across the various design and fabrication scopes
- Developing and executing maintenance, storage, and scrapping strategies for temporary structures across CDWE
- Working closely with departments interfacing with Temporary Structures, such as Tender, Methods, Automation, Logistics, Legal, HSE, T&I project teams, and Mobilization
- Strengthening design and fabrication knowledge among local project engineering colleagues
