Amber has a strong passion for addressing cancer-related challenges and recognizes the significant gap between research and practical solutions. In 2018, she ventured into the startup realm with the aim of tackling current issues in cancer treatment through groundbreaking technology.

As a Co-Founder of CancerFree Biotech, Amber is equipped to handle both internal and external company matters, and she is eager to join the company in facing new challenges. Within the organization, Amber is responsible for internal management, research projects, clinical communication, and business development. She looks forward to embracing different challenges and navigating through various phases to continuously improve both herself and the team.

This team of skilled member works tirelessly to understand cancer at a molecular level, using cutting-edge technology to create effective, patient-specific therapies. Their work is essential to the company's mission of transforming cancer care.

Internship Job Description

- Research Assistance: Support ongoing laboratory research projects under the guidance of senior scientists
- Data Collection and Analysis: Assist in collecting and analyzing experimental data to contribute to research findings
- Laboratory Maintenance: Help maintain a clean and organized lab environment, ensuring equipment and materials are properly cared for
- Experiment Preparation: Aid in preparing materials and equipment for experiments, including setting up and calibrating instruments
- Sample Processing: Assist in the processing and storage of biological samples as per research protocols
- Literature Review: Conduct literature searches and reviews to support research projects and stay updated with current scientific developments
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental procedures and results
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with various teams within the company, assisting in interdisciplinary projects as assigned by the manager
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Report Writing: Assist in drafting reports and presentations to communicate research findings and progress
- Mentor program: each intern will be assigned a mentor and make the connection with our teams
- Work with other interns around the world! It is a diverse team, and some interns are based in TW and some are in the US or other countries around the world
- Assisting CancerFree Biotech in exhibiting at the BioAsia event and attend the team building events
- It is a project-based program, and each intern would work not just on your own main project, but also with other members on different interesting side projects
- The series workshop: each week we invite different speakers from a variety of domains to share insights of their business/industry with our interns
- Demo day: at the end of the program, there will be a demo day for all interns to present his/her project to the public. It is going to be real and big!!! Last year we hosted the event at Taiwan Tech Arena (TTA) and broadcasted online at the same time

- Partnership Outreach: Support in identifying and reaching out to potential strategic partners for collaboration
