Amber has a strong passion for addressing cancer-related challenges and recognizes the significant gap between research and practical solutions. In 2018, she ventured into the startup realm with the aim of tackling current issues in cancer treatment through groundbreaking technology.

As a Co-Founder of CancerFree Biotech, Amber is equipped to handle both internal and external company matters, and she is eager to join the company in facing new challenges. Within the organization, Amber is responsible for internal management, research projects, clinical communication, and business development. She looks forward to embracing different challenges and navigating through various phases to continuously improve both herself and the team.

Brief Introduction of the Department

【Lab Department】

The Lab Team forms the core of CancerFree Biotech’s research and innovation efforts. Its work centers on cell-based drug testing to advance precision medicine. By combining scientific rigor with creative problem-solving, the team transforms laboratory finding into meaningful real-world impact.

- 5-10 people

Internship Job Description

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research finding into business or product initiatives.
- Assist with cell culture, sample preparation, drug sensitivity assay, and experimental setup.
- Follow all laboratory safety protocols and standards.
- Work with team members from Marketing, Bio, IT, and Business Development on interdisciplinary mini-projects.
- Participate in training sessions led by industry experts, consultants, and accelerator partners.
- Support CancerFree Biotech in exhibiting at the BioAsia event and take part in team-building activities.
- Present project outcomes at a public Demo Day showcase event during the final weeks of the internship.

- Undergraduate students (third year and above)
- Master students

Preferred Intern Skill Sets or Qualities

- Interested in working a startup environment and adaptability to a fast-changing setting.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Biotechnology, biomedical Sciences, life sciences, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of cell culture, molecular biology, or biochemical techniques.
- Detail-oriented, patient, and able to follow experimental protocols accurately.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools or programming (e.g., Excel, Python, R) is a plus.

- Salary/Financial Support: NT$4,000~10,000 per month

Students may be offered the opportunity to continue as interns for up to one additional year after completing the NTU International Mentorship Program, at the discretion of the host organization.

The team drives growth through research, negotiation, and creative problem-solving.

Internship Job Description

- Collaborate with team members from Marketing, Bio, and IT on interdisciplinary mini-projects.

- Support proposal writing, preparation of presentation materials, and partnership documentation.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential partners and new business opportunities.
