The candidate will gain insight into and be assigned sub-tasks for the following:
- Production process planning and workstation design: Designing manufacturing sequences and ergonomic workplace layouts.
- Manufacturing layout planning: Developing and optimizing the physical arrangement of production lines and equipment.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements: Focused on cost reduction, waste minimization, and increasing overall efficiency.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Working with other departments (Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance, Logistics) to ensure the seamless integration of new processes, technologies, and equipment.
- Process capability studies and statistical analysis: Data collection and analysis to monitor performance and ensure production goals are met.
- Implementation of improvement ideas: Utilizing LEAN and KAIZEN tools and methodologies to drive operational excellence.
- Detailed analysis and evaluation of existing processes: Identifying areas for improvement and preparing formal proposals for solutions.
- Monitoring and analyzing Process Performance Indicators (KPIs): Tracking metrics such as cycle time, yield, and scrap rates, then developing strategies to meet or exceed targets.
- Participation in multi-functional teams: Contributing to root cause analysis and the development of corrective and preventive actions.
