Guam Taiwan Office

Sally Huang, a sophomore majoring in Foreign Languages and Literatures, interned at the Guam Taiwan Office (GTO) through the recommendation of the Center for Bilingual Education. Participating in the NTU International Mentorship Program 2023, under the guidance of Director Felix Yen, delves into diplomatic and business activities between Taiwan and the United States, experiencing hands-on learning on how international exchanges are conducted.

During her visit to Guam, Sally, fueled by her passion for the exchange between Guam and Taiwan, not only assisted in redesigning the official website of the office and managing social media but also set up booths at the Food Taipei Mega Shows to promote agricultural products from Guam. Director Yen, also the President of the American State Offices Association, Felix also brought Sally to participate in various Taiwan-US events and conferences, including meetings with the U.S. Senate delegation and the U.S. Business Day. In addition to enhancing her marketing and communication skills, Sally stood at the forefront, witnessing how international relations are solidified through practical exchanges. Throughout this internship, Sally became even more convinced of her passion for international affairs.
